Abu Camp Okavango, Botswana

Welcome to Abu Camp Okavango!

Abu Camp Offers Special Activities, Okavango Ultimate Wilderness Retreat Special Safari Packages and Activities for Guests Daily Through the Okavango Delta Tours
Abu Camp
is a luxury wilderness camp. It is set deep in half a million acres of private concession on the western side of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. The Camp is named after Randall Moore’s legendary elephant ‘Abu‘ and is surrounded by open grasslands, island sanctuaries and papyrus- fringed channels, which make it an exceptional safari hide-out for vacations in Botswana
Because of this fragile ecosystem, Abu Camp remains one of the world’s unspoilt and beautiful wildernesses where a vast diversity of animals and birds can be seen. The main deck is sculpted around giant African Ebony and Sycamore Fig trees, creating a dappled, cool atmosphere where meals and drinks are enjoyed.

Abu Camp Facilities

Abu Camp boasts 6 custom-built, stylishly furnished luxury tents each with its own tree-shaded deck overlooking the lagoon. The tents are luxurious, smart, teak-wood polished furniture, with fully zipped entrances with pull up flaps on the windows in unique styles but maintaining high standards.
All tents are beautifully and individually furnished with mahogany four-poster beds / antique sleigh beds. There is also a lounge tent a more perfect place to relax in soft and comfortable chairs. A well-stocked library is available too, with a number of reference books. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom complete with copper or porcelain baths, shower and flush toilet. The dining area is set on layered teak decking that winds its way around African Ebony and Sycamore Fig trees. A ratio of four staff to each guest ensures the best of attention and service. There is a professional chef who does the magic preparation of magnificent meals, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements.
The latest development to the Abu Camp safari experience is the addition of the Abu Private Villa situated across the lagoon which comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests with more privacy. Guests enjoy their own butler, chef and guide with exclusive use of a vehicle.
So, whether one wishes to commune quietly with the silence of the bush from the veranda of one’s own tent, or exchange stories around the fire at the mess tent, Abu Camp is the perfect hideaway for a safari to remember and savour forever. Abu Camp was strategically set emphasis that there can be no better way of interacting with the wilderness and wildlife of the Delta.
