Xigera Camp is one of the Okavango’s best-kept secrets. Situated in the heart of Botswana’s Okavango Delta on within the Moremi Game Reserve, Xigera has10 magnificently furnished tented rooms with en-suite facilities linked to the main communal areas by wooden walkways including two honeymoon suites for a maximum of 20 guests.
The “tropical and jungle” ambience combined with the privacy make Xigera Camp one of the best Eco-camps of Botswana. This luxury tented camp employs over 50 guide and safari agents.
Dinner is enjoyed under the thatch of the raised lounge, pub and dining area overlooking a permanently flowing channel. A traditional African boma offers alternative dining under the African stars. Wooden walkways winding through the forest connect the rooms to the main living area.

Getting There

Access to Xigera Camp is by light aircraft. Alternatively, you can access the camp by a footbridge over the permanently flowing river in front of Xigera

Itinerary for Xigera Camp Experience

Day One: Arrive onto the Paradise Island, in the central region of the Okavango Delta. In the evening you are introduced to our safari team by the Camp manager as you feel the local surroundings. Dinner and overnight at Xigera Camp

Day Two: After breakfast, you head out with your safari staff in an open 4X4 Landrover. Our guide/driver will guide you diligently lead you in a three hours game drive through Moremi Game Reserve as you catch a closer glimpse of wildlife including elephants, lions, lechwe, and leopards. Game drives in 2×10 open Land Rovers carry a maximum of 7 tourists, allowing an outside seat. Lunch at Xigera Camp; you can embark on an afternoon game drive. Overnight at Xigera Camp

Day Three: While at breakfast the safari team break camp and set ready for your day’s activity. You can opt for a full day’s birding trail or Powerboat outings. Xigera is excellent for birding. Visitors have guaranteed sights of Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Skimmer, Salty Egret, Wattled Crane, Lesser Jacana and a host of eagles, vultures, raptors and kingfishers. Overnight at Xigera Camp
