Djebel Babor Nature Reserve
Nestled within the Djebel Babor Mountains, Djebel Babor Nature Reserve is a protected area in northern Algeria. Known for its breathtaking mountain scenery, the reserve consists principally of Mediterranean conifer and mixed forests, an eco-region found in the high North African mountain ranges. It changed status in 1985 from being a national park into a nature reserve. This unique eco-region is a perfect habitat for the Barbary Macaque, a rare monkey species which is considered to be threatened to extinction, as well as the Atlas Deer. El Kala National Park
Established in 1983, El Kala National Park is one of the most diverse national parks in Algeria. It lies in the extreme north-east of the country. It stretches over an area of 76438ha and is bounded on the east by the border between Algeria and Tunisia, on the north by sea, on the west by Cape Rosa, on the south by the foothills of El Ghorra djebel.
