Chad

Chad is an independent landlocked nation found in North Central Africa. It is bounded by six countries; Cameroon, Central African Republic, Libya, Nigeria, Niger and Sudan.
N’Djamena
 is the capital and that offers great markets, interesting artisan goods and a thriving live music and bar scene but one of the most laid back cities of the world.
Chad
 travel leads you to a country which is dominantly a desert, dubbed “The Dead Heart of Africa”.
This north-central African country may not be the most harmonious country to visit owing to the ongoing political turbulence, but has some interesting cities and places to visit with a thriving nightlife in the capital.
The country boasts a first-rate crafts industry flourishing with some exquisite camelhair carpets, exceptional leatherwear, embroidered cotton cloths, decorated calabashes, sculptures products and pottery.

PLACES TO VISIT

Chad has some interestingly inviting places to visit. The country’s beauty consists of its large mountains, valleys, plateaus and many more wonderful things. All these things make the country look like paradise. Some of them include;

  • N’Djamena – the capital city. If you visit the city, be sure to take in the market, enjoy the local flavours and a joyous shopping spree. Other places of interest here include the Musée National and Grand Marché.
  • Fada – A small oasis town nestled in a beautiful area with weird rock formations and several fascinating grottos containing cave paintings, most over 5000 years old.
  • Zakouma National Park – the park is home to some rare wildlife species not common in many game reserves in Africa. Wildlife Tourists and adventure-seekers can have a field day as the reserve is abundant with activity. However, wildlife here has greatly suffered at the hands of the poachers.
  • Faya – One of the largest oasis towns of the world, located in the centre of the Sahara desert north of N’Djamena. Recommended only for the really adventurous.

Why not come for holiday in Chad and have some time to visit the places that are interesting here. It is an appealing tourist beauty that can offer much to the adventurous traveller.
