Getting There

By Air: Bangui M’Poko (BGF) is the main airport and lies 7km southeast of the city.  Airlines to CAR include Benin Golf Air, Cameroon Airlines, Air France and Sudan Airways. Several other flight connections are also available from Cameroon, Benin and Gabon.
By Road
CAR can be accessed by border crossings from most of its neighbours. Road access is open from the Congo DRC, Chad and Cameroon. There are efficient all-season roads from Yaoundé (Cameroon) and N’Djaména (Chad). Foreign travellers, however, may experience difficulty obtaining permission to cross them.
By Water
The route by ferry along the Ubangi to Bangui from the Congo (Rep) or the Congo DRC is run by ACCF and SOCATRAF. This passenger ferry is popular though faces certain hindrances and frequent service break downs and on several occasions is disrupted by civil strife.

Getting Around

Airport and commercial taxis are available to the city (15 minutes for the airport). Bus service to the city meets all flights. Fares are affordable.

Wildlife Safaris
